Exercise

You should have a well rounded exercise plan that include cardiovascular training, strength training, and flexibility training.  This way you will have the full benefits of every exercise you do.

The key to doing exercise is to pay attention to the right thing.  Don't think, "How many calories am I burning?"  Instead, focus on the fact that by simply exercising, you are making your body stronger, healthier, and a more efficient fat burning machine.  Focus on the fun that you can have hiking, competing, dancing, or exploring new areas during a jog or bike ride.  Use your exercise time as time for yourself to think about the things in life that you may have neglected.  Exercise for the benefits of exercising.

You should also simply try to increase the activity levels of your every day routines.  Here are some activity suggestions.  Think about how you can incorporate some of the vigorous activities into your daily routine.

Cardiovascular Training

Cardiovascular training is aerobic exercise.  Aerobic exercise is exercise that forces you to use oxygen.  These are the fat burning exercises.

Strength Training

Strength training is anaerobic exercise.  Anaerobic exercise doesn't use oxygen.  These are the exercise that help to build muscles and bones.

Flexibility Training

Flexibility training is stretching.  The elongation of muscles increases your ability to fully use the range of motion your body was built for and reduces your chances of having pulled and torn muscles.

Warning:  Do not start any exercise program without first consulting your doctor.  Do not push yourself to hard to avoid muscle tears, pulls,  and strains.  Do not try to exercise muscles that are injured without the guidance of a physical therapist.
